A boutique advisory practice

The work of integrated change — across individuals, organizations, and policy.

Spheris Advisory Firm designs pathways that hold. We bring research-led insight, methodological rigor, and 20+ years of practice — across healthcare, policy, geopolitics, and international development — to clients whose problems don't respect the boundaries between personal, organizational, and systemic change.

Why we exist

Most advisory practices specialize in a single layer — coaching individuals, transforming organizations, or shaping policy. The hardest problems sit across all three at once.

Spheris Advisory Firm is built for that work. We help individuals design pathways they can sustain, organizations build accountability into their architecture, and policy systems extend pathway-quality options to the populations that need them most. We also support public-sector and organizational partners with research-led advisory work, capacity-building, and practical policy implementation. The methodology that ties this together — the Pathway Sovereignty Method — has been refined through 20+ years of practice across healthcare, international development, education, policy, and organizational environments.

We are research-led, evidence-anchored, and intentionally inclusive of the special populations standard consulting misses.

Our practices

Five disciplines. One framework.

Each practice line shares the same six-phase methodology, adapted to the work it does and the clients it serves.

01

Pathway Practice

Integrated pathway design for professionals, mid-career changers, emerging leaders, and students navigating high-stakes transitions. Skills assessment, opportunity-landscape research, and accountability architecture — built to sustain after our engagement ends.

02

Institutional Practice

Organizational and policy engagements that build capacity, design accountability into governance, and lay the groundwork for sustained institutional change. For teams, departments, and mid-sized institutions ready to do the deep work.

03

Access Practice

Pathway-quality work for special populations and underserved communities — youth with developmental differences, displaced communities, families navigating complex systems. Designed-access from the start, never retrofitted.

04

Research Practice

Primary research — survey design, recruitment strategy, qualitative and quantitative methods, mixed-methods evaluation — built to produce findings decision-makers can act on. Including specialized rescue work for stalled research projects.

05

Spheris Institute

The methodology arm. Training, credentialing, and licensing of the Pathway Sovereignty Method for practitioners and partner organizations. Currently in development.

Our methodology

The Pathway Sovereignty Method.

A six-phase framework — Discover, Assess, Design, Build, Sustain, Integrate — that turns insight into pathways and pathways into systems that hold.

Phase 01

Discover

Deep research and pattern recognition. Surfacing what clients can't see in their own landscape.

Phase 02

Assess

Structured baseline through our diagnostic instruments — capability, constraint, and readiness.

Phase 03

Design

The integrated pathway: development plan, opportunity landscape, accountability architecture.

Phase 04

Build

Active capability-building, opportunity activation, and execution support.

Phase 05

Sustain

Self-governance rituals and accountability infrastructure that hold after we leave.

Phase 06

Integrate

Extending pathway logic across levels — from individual to institutional to systemic.

Research practice

Research that lands where it matters.

Most research dies in the gap between findings and action. We design every engagement to close that gap — translation is built in from Phase 1, not deferred to a final report nobody reads.

We work with nonprofits, advocacy bodies, healthcare institutions, and UN-system programs on the studies, evaluations, and program research that funders, boards, and policy audiences actually act on. Our Research Design Protocol — a proprietary diagnostic across eight dimensions — anchors every project before execution begins.

We also do work few firms will: rescuing research projects that have stalled. Failed recruitment, blocked ethics review, unusable data, findings that won't land. When the alternative is project failure, we step into the work that's already underway.
